Of all my designs, this is the one that I’m happiest with.
It is exactly the thing it is meant to be.
The design on the gold/silver surrounding the crystal is based on this Milanese fire-gilded ornamental flanged mace from 1550 in the Arms and Armour IV Wallace Collection.
